Bee sting: natural ways to treat
Bee sting causes an acute pain that develops into itching and local reaction with swelling and redness. The pain can range from very mild to very strong. In cases where the pain is mild we can treat it on our own with natural methods.
Ways to treat
Firstly we need to locate the stinger and remove it either with a gauze or by scraping it off. If we remove the stinger we need to make sure that we do not irritate the skin further.
Then we clean the area with water to remove any venom that may have remained on the skin.
We useessential oils with antiseptic, antibacterial and antifungal properties.
Such as tea tree, lemon, lavender, thyme and clary sage.
Some extra solutions are:
→ Aloe Vera which has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties that reduce swelling.
→ Calamine lotion that relieves itching, reducing pain and itching.
→ Honey as it contains substances that fight inflammation and reduce swelling.
