A-Derma Cytelium Spray 100ml: drying lotion for irritated skin with moisture

The A-Derma Cytelium Spray is a 100ml spray lotion that, according to the manufacturer, helps dry and soothe skin irritations accompanied by moisture, i.e. fluid secretion. It is one of the most specialized products of A-Derma and is aimed at a very specific need: areas that "cry" instead of being dry.

Spraying allows application without rubbing and without contact with the sensitive area, something practical for babies, children who do not stay still easily and in areas such as the folds of the skin or between the fingers. Alternatively, the lotion can be applied with soaked sterile gauze.

Why a moist area needs different care than a dry one

Most of us, when the skin is irritated, think of a cream. However, when the area shows moisture, a rich cream or ointment can trap the moisture and delay relief. Dermatologists use a simple rule: for dry skin we use fatty products, for moist skin we prefer aqueous solutions and lotions that help dry.

Such "moist" areas usually appear where the skin rubs against the skin or stays closed and moist: in the folds of the baby, under the diaper, between the toes of the feet, in the armpits and in the groin area. The drying lotion is the missing link in most home pharmacies, between the antiseptic and the restorative cream.

What does the Cytelium lotion do

  • Helps dry. According to the manufacturer, it helps dry areas that show fluid secretion.
  • Soothes. It relieves irritated skin.
  • Umbilical cord care. The manufacturer recommends it for the care of the umbilical cord until it dries and falls off.
  • Multiple areas. For chafing, intertrigo, the area between the fingers and oozing rashes.

The detailed composition is not included in the information we have; refer to the packaging.

Who is it suitable for

For parents of newborns, as part of the care of the umbilical cord, always in consultation with the pediatrician or midwife. For babies and children with chafing or intertrigo that gets wet. For adults with irritation between the fingers or in the folds. In outbreaks of contagious diseases such as chickenpox, it can be used as complementary care only after consulting a doctor.
