To TEARS NATURALE II contains the DUASORB® system consisting of two water-soluble polymers:1. DEXTRAN 702. HYPROMELLOSEThis system, mixed with the existing tears, promotes the diffusion of the corneal layer by correcting deficiencies in both the aqueous and mucin layers of the tear film. The TEARS NATURALE® II has a surface tension and viscosity similar to natural tears.The above properties combined with its mucin-like action allow the restoration of the tear film breakup time (BUT) to normal levels (15-25 seconds).Finally, the rhino-lacrimal excretion time of the Hypromellose polymer has been shown to be much longer than that of other formulations, allowing prolonged action on the ocular surface.
