Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol):
Vitamin D3 is the only vitamin that is characterized as anti-aging and has a more hormone-like than vitamin-like action, affecting several systems in the body.
In the summer when our body produces large amounts of D3 due to exposure to the sun, the health of people is at a higher level than in winter, according to statistics.
Vitamin D regulates calcium and phosphorus levels in the blood, promoting their absorption from foods and helping the reabsorption of calcium in the kidneys.
It promotes bone formation.
It inhibits the secretion of the parathyroid hormone. Vitamin D affects the immune system by enhancing phagocytosis, showing anti-cancer activity and immunoregulatory functions.
Low levels of vitamin D lead to cancer (e.g. breast, colon) and increased levels of heart attacks for men.
Also, the lack of vitamin D plays a role in cases of stroke, hypertension, in autoimmune diseases, in diabetes, depression, osteoporosis, osteoarthriti-s, in muscle weakness and periodontitis.
These show how important vitamin D is which is why it is included in Smile Antioxidant.

CoenzymeQ10 (Q10):
Coenzyme Q10 is a benzoquinone with vitamin-like action. It is responsible for energy production in the body. In all human cells, the energy of food is converted into energy in the mitochondria with the help of Q10. 95% of the energy the body needs (in the form of ATP) is produced with the help of Q10.
Organs with the highest energy requirements (such as the heart and liver) have the highest concentrations of Q10.
Q10 is also beneficial for people suffering from
migraines.
It also has anti-cancer action, but at the same time it offers strong protection to the heart muscle from the side effects of chemotherapy. Q10 protects the brain from neuro-degenerative diseases such as Parkinson's disease. It also protects the heart in case of a heart attack. It has action in hypertension by reducing both systolic and diastolic pressure.
Studies show that it reduces the oxidation and destruction of the DNA double helix.
Statins (cholesterol-lowering drugs) reduce Q10 in blood serum by up to 40%, which is why it is recommended for those taking these drugs to also take Q10.
Studies show that Q10 helps the immune system and makes the body able to resist certain infections and different types of cancer.
Its action and protection of the heart muscle are important and helps even patients.
Q10 can also help patients with AIDS. It is no coincidence that patients with cardiovascular problems, cancer or AIDS show a deficiency in Q10.

L-Selenomethionine:
Selenium is an essential trace element for animals and humans. L-Selenomethionine is a source of selenium (Se) that is absorbed by the body (as selenium is linked to the amino acid methionine), releasing 50mg of elemental selenium.
The erosion of soils on the one hand, which reduces selenium in food, and the contamination of food on the other (e.g. mercury), which forces the body to 'spend' selenium to neutralize toxic substances, have increased the need for selenium in our days. Also, the industrialization of food destroys selenium, further increasing the needs.
Selenium participates in many reactions in the body, resulting in action in many systems. Selenium has strong antioxidant action as it is part of the glutathione peroxidase, a powerful antioxidant factor in the body. Selenium intake reduces the risk of prostate cancer. It has protective effects on other types of cancer.
Selenium improves asthma symptoms and may help in some cases of cardiomyopathy. Selenium helps eliminate toxic mercury (Hg) from the body (mercury is the cause of many chronic degenerative diseases).
It enhances male fertility by increasing sperm production and motility.
Due to its antioxidant action, selenium helps inhibit LDL oxidation.
It has an action similar to that of insulin and plays a role in reducing the oxidative stress associated with diabetes, thus reducing complications such as neuropathy, retinopathy and cataract. Low selenium is also associated with the onset of arthritis.

R-Alpha Lipoic Acid:
Lipoic acid is a powerful antioxidant that protects against the symptoms of vitamin C & E deficiency. It helps in the regeneration of antioxidants such as glutathione, C and E, thus maintaining the antioxidant action level within the cell. It also helps in the entry of glucose into the cell, playing an important role in diabetes.
Studies in mice show that the use of lipoic acid and carnitine helps memory and delays the breakdown of mitochondria. Thus it may help patients with Parkinson's disease.
Newer studies show the action of lipoic acid in inhibiting the formation of atherosclerosis, reducing triglycerides, reducing inflammation of blood vessels and reducing body weight, an action very important for cardiovascular problems. Lipoic acid, by restoring glutathione levels to levels corresponding to those of young people, acting as an anti-inflammatory agent, promoting blood flow, activating the immune system, etc., manages to show anti-aging action.
Animals that were given lipoic acid not only lived longer, but also lived better (like younger people).
Lipoic acid inhibits the oxidative damage caused by copper and iron, binding them. It inhibits the NF-ΚB factor which is involved in the pathology of diabetes, atherosclerosis and cancer.

Quercetin:
Quercetin is a flavonoid and specifically a flavonol. It is found in the bark of apples and red onions. It has a strong anti-inflammatory action due to the inhibition of the initial metabolic pathways of inflammation.
For example, it inhibits the synthesis and secretion of histamine. Furthermore, it shows strong antioxidant action and has anti-cancer properties.
It has positive effects on prostatitis, heart diseases, cataracts, allergies, inflammations and respiratory problems such as bronchitis and asthma.
Due to its anti-inflammatory action, it reduces pain in diseases such as arthritis.
Men with prostate problems will benefit from its use.
It may also help in controlling cholesterol.

Vitamin E:
Vitamin E in the form of D-Alpha Tocopheryl Succinate is 5 times more bioavailable than synthetic vitamin E. There is a huge literature on vitamin E.
We will mention the main actions of it:
It is antioxidant and liposoluble, detoxifies the body from atmospheric and environmental pollutants. We only get it through food (our body does not produce it).
It strengthens the immune system, has skin repair properties, prevents the splitting and binding of saturated fatty acids with substances that can become harmful to the body. It helps cardiac function by making the heart muscle work with less oxygen, thus increasing its endurance. It causes dilation of blood vessels, allowing better blood flow to the heart. It strengthens capillaries and protects red blood cells from destruction caused by toxins, such as hydrogen peroxide.
Pine Barck Extract:
It is derived from the extract of the bark of a type of pine that grows near the coast of Pinus maritime.
This extract was known 450 years ago when it saved sailors who had scurvy, as its strong antioxidant action increased the effectiveness of C and extended its life. It improves circulation and tissue repair.
Its antioxidant action is many times that of vitamin C and vitamin E.
It constricts blood vessels and increases flow through the action on NO (nitric oxide). NO serves the body, from the destruction of bacteria and cancer cells (through macrophages), to the transmission of signals to the brain.
It helps treat allergies that respond to antihistamines.
It protects and strengthens the connective tissue.
It helps in the elasticity of the skin, stabilizing collagen and elastin.
Its antioxidant properties help in hypoxemia due to atherosclerosis.

N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC):
NAC is a powerful antioxidant and detoxifier of cells, playing an important role in the production of glutathione, a substance that the body mainly uses for detoxification and neutralization of free radicals. Once NAC enters the body, it is converted to glutathione. It helps remove heavy toxic metals from the body, such as lead and mercury, promoting liver health.
It strengthens the immune system by transporting nutrients to lymphocytes and phagocytes.
It strengthens cell membranes, promotes the construction of muscle tissue and maintains RNA & DNA.
It breaks down mucus in the lungs, helping in cases of chronic bronchitis and influenza. It protects against bowel cancer in people who have polyps in the intestine.

Vitamin A in the form of Beta Carotene:
Vitamin A is antioxidant and helps in the strengthening of vision, prevents night blindness, is useful in many eye disorders, strengthens the immune system and protects against respiratory infections.
It promotes the development of bones and teeth as well as the maintenance of healthy skin, hair and mucous membranes. In the form of Beta Carotene it does not create problems of hypervitaminosis, since the body selects the amount that will convert to vitamin A based on its needs. It protects against cancer and heart disease, reduces the progression of cataracts, protects the skin from sunburn, helps with arthritis, psoriasis and hypertension.
The Beta Carotene used in Smile Antioxidant comes from the algae Dunaliella Salina.

MagnesiumGlycinate:
Magnesium is the fourth most common metal in the body and is essential for good health. About 50% of magnesium is found in bones, while the other half is distributed in the cells of tissues and organs.
1% of magnesium is found in blood and the body works hard to keep this level stable. Magnesium participates in more than 300 biochemical reactions in the body.
It helps maintain the smooth functioning of nerves and muscles, maintains a steady heart rate, helps immune health and keeps bones strong.
Magnesium helps regulate blood sugar levels, promotes normal pressure and is known to be involved in energy metabolism and protein synthesis. There is increasing research on the role of magnesium in hypertension, cardiovascular and diabetes.

Lecithin:
Lecithin is a phospholipid extracted from soybeans. It is also produced by the liver if the diet is adequate. It is a basic structural component of cell membranes, as without it the membranes become harder and more fragile.
It protects cells from oxidation.
It consists mainly of B vitamins, phosphoric acid, choline, inositol and linoleic acid. It is a fat emulsifier and thus helps the circulatory system. The choline it has is useful in the synthesis of acetylcholine (neurotransmitter).

L-Carnitine-L-Tartrate:
Carnitine helps increase performance and control body weight. It is a coenzyme and is involved in the metabolism of fatty acids in the mitochondria and in energy production.
Fatty acids+oxygen+Carnitine=Energy.
It helps in the better functioning of the heart muscle.
It has a significant antioxidant action.
Carnitine promotes the use of glucose and protects its oxidation, thus helping in Diabetes.

Dosage: According to the doctor's instructions.
