You have certainly heard about propolis and its healing properties.
You may not know that there is not just one propolis but different ones in color and activity, depending on the plants that the bee visits. Let's take a look at things from the beginning.
What is propolis?
The word propolis comes from the Greek words “pro” and “polis”, meaning a substance placed before the entrance of the city (hive) for the defense of the bee.
Propolis is collected by specialized worker bees, visiting on the hottest days of the day plants rich in resinous, balsamic and waxy substances. Using their jaws they detach it in small pieces from the eyes of the plants. After processing these substances with the use of various secretions of their glands, they place it in the pollen baskets on their hind legs. They transport it to the hive and use it directly in various tasks within the hive.
According to the chemical composition of propolis, its physical characteristics are also varied such as: color, aroma, taste and consistency. Its color varies: from yellow, orange, green (Brazilian propolis), to tan and black (European propolis).
Our propolis (European) due to its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, is indicated for most diseases of microbial origin. It is particularly indicated for respiratory diseases and mainly for reducing the frequency and intensity of asthma attacks, as well as against chronic bronchitis.
Propolis in its entirety is very effective in otolaryngological infections (chronic pharyngitis, allergic and chronic rhinosinusitis, tonsillitis, tracheitis, otitis etc.). It is also effective in ear conditions such as otomycosis, otitis and tympanitis.
As an antiseptic, it strongly acts against certain parasites, such as tapeworm. Also, with topical application to rectal tubes, in hemorrhagic orthocolitis or hemorrhoids, it favors a short wound healing.
Internally, thanks to its antibacterial action, it allows the effective treatment of ulcers caused by Helicobacter pylori.
The extract of propolis, (obtained by hydro-alcoholic maceration) whose active ingredients are flavonoids, actively combats ulcers whether gastric or duodenal, not only relieving pain but also favoring the healing process.
With its action against viruses, propolis gives excellent results in the treatment of hepatitis.
Thanks to its strong action against staphylococci and streptococci, it is used directly in purulent wounds (which no antibiotic can fight due to resistant strains of microbes).
Propolis acts bactericidal on all pathogenic staphylococci, even those resistant to antibiotics.
In external application it treats deep pyodermas, skin mycoses, decubitus ulcers, as well as eschars, which develop in people who remain bedridden for long periods.
How does green propolis differ?
It has all the above characteristics but according to recent studies it also has a strong anticancer action.
Green propolis comes from the plant Baccharis dracunculiforia which grows as a parasite only in Brazil. Its anticancer, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory action is due to a complex of substances and mainly to the substance Artepiline C.
In European propolis we have more flavonoids (20-30%) while in green propolis phenolic substances predominate, which are active components against tumors.
Also, another component found exclusively in green propolis is p-coumaric acid compounds (with strong antibacterial properties). Also, green propolis is a powerful antiseptic that helps fight infections by building a strong immune system. Four substances found in it help in the mobility and dispersion of macrophages, an important element in the fight against cancer.
Also, the substances found in green propolis have hepatoprotective action and have a strong action against free radicals.
Propolis has the most flavonoids in relation to any other vegetable, with the ability to neutralize toxins (substances responsible for causing great damage to the organism).
Extracts of green propolis have been studied in vitro for their anticancer activity in various types of cancer cells (liver, lung, etc.). Also, green propolis suppressed the tumor induced by chemical substances in mice.
Green propolis from Brazil is the subject of systematic study mainly for its anticancer action, pioneered by the Japanese, who buy 95% of the production in the last 20 years.
SMILE GREEN PROPOLIS:
The best green propolis, with a very high concentration of green propolis (at least 30%), which thanks to the natural processes followed for its extraction, retains all the characteristics of propolis. The raw material used for its preparation is the purest green propolis which, thanks to the high concentration, is converted into a unique product (in relation to those circulating), with the maximum possible amount of flavonoids and Artepelin-C.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Liquid in a green glass bottle 30ml with dropper.
INGREDIENTS: Green propolis (at least 30%) and Alcohol.
SPECIAL INFORMATION: Because the product contains a very high concentration of pure extract, it can also be used in serious diseases such as pneumonia, leukemia, cancer and AIDS.
INDICATIONS: For prevention and treatment of upper respiratory diseases, as we have detailed above (e.g. pharyngitis, otitis etc.), but also ulcus, purulent pleurisy and gastric disorders.
It significantly improves the immune system, significantly reducing the side effects of chemotherapy and radiation in cancer patients, therefore it is a complementary protective treatment, alongside chemotherapy or radiation.
Use according to the doctor's instructions or as follows:
Adults:
Preventively 12 drops 2 times a day in water or fruit juice. Therapeutically 20 drops 3 times a day in water or fruit juice.
For chronic diseases: 30 and more drops 3 times a day.
Children under 12 years old: 7 drops dissolved in water or fruit juice 2 times a day.
WARNING: Green propolis should be used only as complementary therapy and should not interrupt the treatment prescribed by the doctor.
Green propolis, according to current evidence, does not produce an allergic reaction (unlike European).
