Cardiol Forte NF
Cardiol® forte NEW contains a combination of Omega-3 EPA/DHA, Total Monacolins and olive polyphenols that protect LDL cholesterol from oxidation, along with artichoke extract, supported by a clinical study, with great effects on lipid profile and with hepatoprotective action.
HEALTH BENEFITS:
Omega-3 EPA and DHA are the fundamental components of cell membranes and the precursors of a class of cellular messengers called eicosanoids, which play a crucial role in regulating many physiological functions.
EPA and DHA:
Contribute to the normal function of the heart with a daily intake of 250 mg* (1 softgel Cardiol® Forte).
Artichoke dry extract: powder extract obtained from artichoke leaves (Cynara cardunculus L), standardized to 10% in chlorogenic acid and derivatives (biophenols) and 2% in luteolin 7-glucoside and derivatives (flavonoids). The biophenols contained in the artichoke extract have choleretic, cholagogue and hepatoprotective action. In addition, flavonoids inhibit cholesterol biosynthesis and protect LDL from oxidative damage.
Red Yeast Rice: obtained from the fermentation of rice (Oryza sativa L.) with Monascus purpureus, red rice yeast contains a group of bioactive substances known as monacolins.
Olive polyphenols (hydroxytyrosol): polyphenols include a very large group of secondary metabolites derived from plants with different biological activities. The polyphenols present mainly in the fruits and leaves of the olive tree are phenolic acids such as hydroxytyrosol and its derivatives such as oleuropeidin. Numerous in vivo and in vitro studies have shown their antioxidant action (protection of LDL from oxidative damage). It has also been shown that olive polyphenols can penetrate cells and their absorption depends on the dose. Their antioxidant action is already manifested at very low doses (≥ 5 mg). The olive extract present in Cardiol® Forte provides 5 mg/softgel of hydroxytyrosol.
Coenzyme Q10: it is an antioxidant that acts in the mitochondrial energy production chain and is essential for optimizing cellular energy production (in the form of adenosine triphosphate – ATP). Scientific studies have shown that coenzyme Q10 is recommended in combination with monacolins from red rice yeast.
Vitamin E: contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress by being a free radical scavenger*.
Folic acid: also called vitamin B9, it is an essential component for many reactions that occur in our body. It contributes to the metabolism of homocysteine*.
Piperine: increases the bioavailability of all nutrients especially coenzyme Q10.
