Essential oils are volatile, meaning they evaporate quickly and reach the different centers of the brain through the sense of smell, resulting in an effect on our psyche and influencing our mood. They can either relax and calm us or stimulate and invigorate us. You can choose among the various uses offered by the Essential Oils of Apivita to enrich and beautify your daily activities. AROMA THERAPY KIT Usage: Thanks to their beneficial properties, they help you relax after a tiring day, focus when doing work that requires mental clarity or energize you. They can also be used to ensure a clean and pleasant environment as they neutralize unwanted odors. Turn on the diffuser and place it on the base of the Ceramic Essential Oil Device of Apivita. In a few minutes the essential oils will start to diffuse into the atmosphere. Quantity of use: 1-8 drops in a little water. It is important to always have a little water in the aromatherapy device. MASSAGE Usage: Massage is one of the oldest therapeutic methods and is one of the most basic applications of aromatherapy. Thanks to the massage movements, the essential oils penetrate the skin offering stimulation, rejuvenation or relaxation. Add the essential oil or oil blend to the base oil (Apivita Natural Oil Almond or Massage Blend) and mix well. Enjoy a beneficial massage with all your senses by applying the oil with gentle circular movements on the body. Quantity of use: 30-35 drops in 100 ml base oil. BATH Usage: One of the simplest and most pleasant ways to use essential oils is in the bath. Fill the bathtub with warm water. A cool or warm bath can relax the mind and body, while a cool or cold bath causes a sense of stimulation and rejuvenation. Add drops of an essential oil or your favorite blend, and then stir the water to dissolve. For sensitive skin it is better to dissolve the essential oils in a base oil, such as almond or jojoba oil. Stay in the tub for at least ten minutes, relaxing and breathing deeply. Quantity of use: 3-8 drops. INHALATIONS Usage: Inhalations are proven to be beneficial for breathing ease and release, especially in the winter months. Also, steam inhalation with essential oil can be used to cleanse and detoxify the face. Fill a bowl with hot steaming water and add drops of essential oil. Close your eyes and carefully lean over the bowl. Cover your head and the bowl with a towel and inhale for a total of 10 minutes. Quantity of use: 2-3 drops per bowl of water. SKIN CARE Usage: Essential oils are very beneficial for facial care because they hydrate, tone and rejuvenate. Add the essential oils to a natural cleansing, tonifying, moisturizing product, etc. for a radiant complexion. You can ideally add them to the Apivita Natural Oils herbal oils. Quantity of use: Depends on the base used. Ask your pharmacist or an experienced aromatherapist for advice. PRECAUTION: Essential oils are highly concentrated substances that can be harmful if used carelessly. If you have any doubts or further questions, consult your doctor or an experienced aromatherapist. · Avoid contact with eyes. In this case, rinse immediately with plenty of water. · Essential oils should never be used undiluted on the skin. Use them all in a dissolved form, mixed with the appropriate base of vegetable oil or mixed with the water of the bathtub, for example. · Some oils cause sensitivity or allergic reactions in some people. If you have sensitive skin, always do an allergy test reaction on the inside of your arm, gently rub a small amount of dissolved essential oil there and wait 24 hours to see if there is any form of reaction. · Avoid sun exposure or solarium for more than 12 hours after applying any essential oil with citrus. · If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor or an experienced aromatherapist before using any essential oil. · Use with great care when applying essential oils to babies and children under 12 years.
