History

The interest in fish oil was born from the observation of the health of the Eskimos: despite consuming a lot of fats, they show an extremely low mortality rate from cardiovascular diseases and extremely low cholesterol levels.

The beneficial properties derived from the cold

The scientific studies conducted after this observation showed a clear relationship between this particular health of the Eskimos and the frequent consumption of fish rich in essential polyunsaturated fatty acids of the omega-3 series, EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid). These fatty acids reduce the level of triglycerides and 'clean' the blood. Today, the majority of people do not consume a sufficient amount of essential fatty acids. Instead, they follow a diet particularly rich in saturated fats and fast-absorbing carbohydrates that increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases. The consumption of polyunsaturated fatty acids helps control blood lipids (reduction of cholesterol and triglycerides by 20 - 50%) and protects the arteries. Thus, fish oil, if consumed frequently, makes it possible to prevent atherosclerosis and cardiovascular diseases.

Dosage
