History
Pineapple became known to Europeans in 1493, during Christopher Columbus' second voyage to the New World. The natives had baptized it 'nana'. Spread throughout Tropical America, pineapple seems to have originated in the Orinoco Valley of Brazil. While it is preferred for its tasty and sweet fruit, it is the stem that concentrates all its therapeutic properties.
Anti-cellulite
The pineapple stem contains in large quantities a proteolytic enzyme, bromelain which has very interesting properties. It breaks down large proteins, thus accelerating their digestion and helping their elimination from the body (it is able to digest up to 1000 times its weight in proteins!). It is a particularly effective tool for dealing with the excessive weight associated with fluid retention or cellulite. By breaking down the proteins that'support' tissues with cellulite, we help detoxification, mobilization and removal of fat elements from their stores. On the other hand, thanks to its anti-inflammatory action, bromelain is usually used to absorb localized edemas, found in fat stores, fractures, interstices, dislocations, etc... Bromelain also prevents the increase of insulin in the blood caused by the consumption of fast-acting sugar products (pastries, etc...), and their storage in the form of fats.
Dosage
1 capsule 3 times a day between meals.
