The Vaginal Douche of Betadine is a device for vaginal douching, formerly known as ‘povar’.

How does it work?
- It is an elastic, plastic, flattened vial with engravings for dilution.
- A thin nozzle is applied to the top which is inserted into the vagina while the woman can be either in a sitting position in the bathtub or standing in the shower area.
- If we use the device with a chamomile solution in water it offers immediate relief from the symptoms of itching, burning and redness of the vaginal mucosa that may be due to a simple irritation or vaginitis of any etiology.

Traditionally used by the woman for her personal hygiene, to prevent or treat an infection, to clean the vagina, after menstruation or sexual intercourse or to relieve symptoms of vaginitis.

It is worth noting that the Betadine is a unique and recognizable product in relation to its chemical, manufacturing and clinical quality. It meets all the generally accepted properties of an ideal microbicide for topical antisepsis as determined by the World Health Organization (WHO), which are:

The Betadine is the only iodopovidone solution that is prepared by the standardized method. It retains its properties intact, for the entire duration of its life, in a closed or open container. Thus, it ensures the stable concentration of free iodine even after 3 years of storage, the stable time of extermination of microorganisms in thirty seconds (30 sec) whenever it is used, a stable, neutral and skin-friendly Ph and stable quality for all production batches. None of the equivalent formulations exhibit this uniqueness in relation to the chemical, manufacturing and clinical quality of Betadine.
