The BioGaia Protectis drops contain the probiotic bacterium Lactobacilus reuteri Protectis, a natural lactobacillus that helps restore the balance of the flora in the digestive system, as well as to strengthen the immune system.

It is supportive in cases of gastrointestinal problems such as: *
  •     Constipation
  •     Abdominal pain
  •     Stomach cramps
  •     Colic
  •     Flatulence and bloating
  •     Intestinal gases
  •     Diarrhea
  •     Disorders after taking antibiotics.

  L. reuteri is a probiotic which:*
  •     Is isolated from breast milk
  •     Proven to colonize along the gastrointestinal tract
  •     Adheres strongly to the walls of the intestinal tube
  •     Promotes the antipathogenic substance reuterin (Reuterin)
  •     Does not transfer its resistance to any antibiotics that coexist in the symbiotic flora.

Dosage
For the treatment of infant colic: 5 drops once daily (containing 108 CFUs L.reuteri ProTectis®)

For the treatment of gastrointestinal symptoms after antibiotic use: 10 drops once (containing 2x108 CFUs L.reuteri ProTectis®) 1 hour after each antibiotic administration. Each vial is sufficient according to the antibiotic administration per 24 hours.


Precautions
If gastrointestinal disorders do not subside it is advisable to consult your pediatrician.
