Effective for the treatment of Chronic or Occasional Constipation in Adults, Teenagers and Children.
COMPOSITION: Seeds and pericarp from the Psilio plant (plantago Psyllium), polyethylene glycol (PEG), guar gum, citric acid orange flavor, silicon dioxide, sweeteners: sorbitol, acesulfame potassium, sucralose.
FORM: Nostip® complex is in the form of a powder for oral solution. The package contains 14 packets of 6gr each dose.
DESCRIPTION AND USE: The Nostip® complex powder has as its functional basis Psillio & polyethylene glycol (PEG). The combination of these two ingredients with the simultaneous presence of the liquids of the area results in an increase in the volume of the stools which in a purely mechanical way leads to a laxative effect, increasing the propulsion of soft stools in the large intestine and facilitating defecation.
INDICATIONS: Nostip® complex powder for oral solution, is a laxative indicated for the treatment of chronic or occasional constipation in adults, teenagers and children.
CONTRAINDICATIONS: Not to be used in cases such as:
• Intestinal obstruction, Ileus.
• Perforation of the intestinal wall.
• Severe pathological diseases of the intestine such as: ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease or toxic megacolon.
• Hypersensitivity personalized to one of the components of the product.
WARNINGS: Keep the product away from children. Avoid contact with eyes. Pregnancy and lactation The safety of Nostip® complex, powder for oral solution, during pregnancy and lactation has not been established. In such cases, you should consult your doctor. Effects on driving and using machines. No specific precautions required.
INTERACTIONS WITH OTHER PRODUCTS: The increase in speed during gastrointestinal transit caused by Nostip® complex oral solution powder may temporarily reduce the intestinal absorption of other products or drugs when they are co-administered. Also, the seeds of the Psillio plant could enhance the effect of hypocholesterolemic & hypoglycemic products or drugs. Therefore, it is recommended to take the Nostip® complex oral solution powder 2 hours before or 2 hours after taking these formulations. Also, consider taking the advice of your treating physician.
DOSAGE: The Nostip® complex oral solution powder can be taken at any time of the day half an hour before bedtime.
• Adults: 2 packets per day preferably in the morning & evening.
• Children & teenagers from 3-14 years: 1 packet per day.
The duration of treatment for constipation is approximately 2 weeks. If constipation has been caused by a disease such as: Parkinson's disease or Multiple Sclerosis, or if other products that cause constipation are being taken, your doctor may extend the treatment period beyond 2 weeks. In long-term treatment, your dosage is recommended to be 1 packet per day.
