The Intermed Fever Trap Refill Kit contains 8 replacement self-adhesive films for the Fever Trap, the soft wireless thermometer that is placed on the armpit and continuously measures body temperature, sending the readings to a mobile phone or tablet. The film is what holds the device firmly to the skin, so regular replacement is necessary for proper application.
The Fever Trap packaging already includes 8 films. The refill kit is for those who use it frequently, for example in families with young children or for the care of bedridden individuals, and need a stock.
A continuous monitoring thermometer gives reliable readings only when the sensor remains in constant contact with the skin. Over time, sweat and body movements weaken the adhesive. The manufacturer recommends changing the film every 24 hours or whenever desired, which also helps with the hygiene of the armpit skin.
Before placing a new film, wipe the armpit so that it is clean and dry, without deodorant or cream, for better adhesion. They are stored in a cool and dry place.
