Intermed The Skin Pharmacist SOS After Bites 10ml: gel for insect bites, jellyfish and nettles

Intermed The Skin Pharmacist SOS After Bites is a soothing gel in a small 10ml package, for application on the skin after insect bites or contact with jellyfish and nettles. It contains panthenol and extracts of chamomile and epilobius, does not contain ammonia and is dermatologically tested.

It is the product that should be in the beach bag, on the hiking trip or in the cottage kit. When a mosquito, bee or jellyfish leaves behind redness and itching, the gel spreads quickly and dries without staining. It is suitable for children from 1 year old.

What happens to the skin after a bite

When an insect bites, it leaves saliva or a small amount of substances on the skin to which the body reacts. The result is the familiar swelling with redness and itching. Jellyfish and nettles cause a similar burning sensation through the substances they release on contact. Scratching makes the area more irritated, which is why quick, soothing care has practical value.

A gel has two advantages in this case. It gives an immediate cooling sensation as the water evaporates, and dries quickly, so it does not leave a greasy film on the skin or clothes.

The ingredients of the gel

  • Panthenol. The provitamin B5, a known moisturizing substance used in products for irritated skin.
  • Chamomile extract. A traditional plant ingredient for its soothing effect.
  • Epilobium extract. A plant extract used in dermatocosmetics for sensitive and irritated skin.

The absence of ammonia is deliberate. Many traditional products for bites are based on ammonia, which in sensitive or children's skin can be intense.

Who is it suitable for

For families with young children, as it can be used from 1 year old. For swimmers and fishermen exposed to jellyfish. For garden and trail lovers, where a nettle in the grass is always a possibility. For those who prefer a product without ammonia.

How to use

Apply a small amount of gel to the irritated skin after the bite or contact and let it dry. Repeat as often as needed. Avoid direct contact with eyes.

If after a bite swelling appears on the face or neck, difficulty breathing, dizziness or extensive rash, seek medical help immediately. Keep out of reach of children.

Packaging: 10ml.
