Castor Oil - 100ml

The Castor Oil from Kanavos is a clear, almost colorless or pale yellow thick oil.

The Kanavos Castor Oil is cold pressed, 100% vegetable, refined, pharmaceutical grade.

It has a mild odor and taste that is initially mild, but later becomes slightly caustic.

The Castor Oil has antioxidant, anti-itch and anti-inflammatory properties.

The Castor Oil is soluble in ethanol (95%).

Practically insoluble in water and mineral oil, unless mixed with another vegetable oil.

The Kanavos Castor Oil is suitable for use in pharmaceutical and cosmetic products.

Precautions

Stored in a well-closed container, in a cool place, protected from light.
It is stable and does not degrade, unless exposed to excessive heat.
Upon heating to 300°C for several hours, the castor oil polymerizes and becomes soluble in mineral oil.
When cooled to 0°C, it becomes thicker.
