Clear liquid, with a pale yellow-green color and a fresh, warm, smoky floral aroma.
Rich in citronellol, geraniol, linalool, isomenthene and other components that give the essential oil significant natural antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antimicrobial and astringent properties.
Suggested Uses:
- It is reputed in medicine to help with menopause problems, diabetes, removal of cellulite, activation of blood and lymph circulation, stimulation of the immune system, reduction of blood pressure and relief from postherpetic neuralgia.
- In cosmetics, geranium essential oil offers amazing radiance to the skin and is suitable for acne, dermatitis and wound care. For external use (tonic massage, acne treatment, radiant skin, etc.) add 30 drops to 100 ml of base oil and massage the desired area.
- In aromatherapy, it is believed to reduce feelings of stress, anxiety, sadness, fatigue and tension, enhance concentration, improve cognitive function and balance emotions and hormones. For aromatherapy benefits add a few drops of essential oil with water in an essential oil burner.
- Insect repellent action: To make an insect repellent lotion add 35 drops of citronella to 100ml of almond oil or alternatively 15 drops of citronella together with 10 drops of lavender and 10 drops of geranium and massage onto the body.
Combine with: basil, bergamot, cedarwood, grapefruit, lavender, orange, rosemary.
