The Lactotune Vaginal Balance is a specialized dietary supplement that combines in each capsule 5 different probiotic strains of lactic acid bacteria and short-chain fructooligosaccharides (prebiotic fibers) and contributes to the restoration and maintenance of the healthy balance of the vagina.

Recommended daily dose for women over 12 years old: 1-2 capsules per day for 5-10 days.
For the restoration of the normal flora when it has been disturbed: 1 to 2 capsules daily.
To maintain the normal flora: 1 capsule daily.

Each Lactotune Vaginal Balance capsule is taken orally with a glass of water.
Oral probiotics have the ability to colonize the vagina after ingestion and are believed to alter the vaginal flora through migration from the rectum to the perineum and from the perineum to the vagina.
Because the oral administration of probiotic bacteria requires their transfer to the site of colonization (vagina) this
implies that they must survive the low pH of the stomach and the presence of bile salts.

Active Ingredients
Lactobacillus crispatus 1.5 billion
Lactobacillus reuteri 1 billion
Lactobacillus acidophilus 1 billion
Lactobacillus rhamnosus1 billion
Lactobacillus gasseri 0.5 billion
Short-chain fructooligosaccharides
(Prebiotic fibers)

    L. Crispatus : Protective effect against UTIs, BV and VVC, associated with the ability of high production of lactic acid and bacteriocin crispacin A, which maintain the healthy state of the vagina (the population dominance of L.crispatus in the vagina is considered an indicator of vaginal health, with increased conception rates and improved fertility)
    L. Rhamnosus : Produces antimicrobial compounds lactocin 160, which have been shown to be effective against bacteria associated with the occurrence of bacterial vaginitis (inhibits the growth of G. vaginalis) and inhibits the biofilm of Candida
    L. Reuteri : Produces biosurfactants that reduce surface tension on mucous membranes and inhibit the adhesion of pathogenic bacteria and Candidaalbicans, produces reuterin (a natural antibiotic)
    L. Gasseri : Produces large amounts of lactic acid and antimicrobial peptides. Produces a bacteriocin called gasserin E, which inhibits the growth of bacteria associated with BV, including Prevotellabivia, Gardnerella vaginalis
    L. Acidophilus : The most studied probiotic strain in terms of restoring and maintaining a healthy vaginal balance, produces acidophilin
    Short-chain fructooligosaccharides (Prebiotic fibers)

The antimicrobial substances (bacteriocins produced by L. crispatus and L. Gasseri have a wider spectrum than those produced by other lactobacilli.
