The
Meno-pause Complex from
Lamberts, is a specially designed clinical nutrition formula for the menopause period. In this particular formulation, 3 high-potency titled extracts of herbs have been added, which are accompanied by important bibliographic references regarding their role in the menopause period:
- Titled extract of hop flower (Humulus lupulus): Hop is a herb with a long history of traditional uses. The main phytochemical active ingredient of hop is called 8-prenylarginine (8PN). 8-prenylarginine has a phytoestrogen activity helping women to cope with symptoms associated with the menopausal period, such as hot flashes, night sweats, anxiety and irritability*. The hop flower extract used in Meno-pause Complex is called Lifenol and is a patented hop extract that guarantees 100μg of 8-prenylarginine, a level equivalent to that used in published clinical studies.
- Titled extract of non-genetically modified soybeans: The soybean extract used in Meno-pauseComplex is non-genetically modified and guarantees the impressive amount of 50mg of soy isoflavones per tablet. Soy isoflavones are a popular dietary supplement for women of pre- or post-menopausal age, as their intake is associated with the alleviation of menopausal symptoms and the maintenance of bone density.
- Titled extract of sage (Sage, Salvia officinalis): The sage extract that Meno-pause Complex provides guarantees 2.5% rosmarinic acid. Rosmarinic acid is the main phytochemical active ingredient of sage, it has a similar chemical structure to estrogens and therefore binds to estrogen receptors, acting as a mild phytoestrogen. In this way, sage helps to eliminate menopausal discomfort (e.g. hyperhidrosis)*.
