Multi-Guard® Sugar Control
Regulation of metabolism and energy balance
The Multi-Guard® Sugar Control is a high-potency multivitamin formula, which aims to regulate metabolism and maintain the energy balance of the body between meals. It contains 25 micronutrients for the complete coverage of the body, with particular emphasis on those involved in the metabolism of carbohydrates.
Specifically in the recommended dose of 2 tablets per day, it provides in sufficient/high amounts:
1. Chromium: Chromium is involved in the signaling pathway of insulin, contributing to the normal metabolism of macronutrients and the maintenance of normal blood glucose levels*.
2. Zinc: Zinc is found in all cells of the body, being essential in a multitude of physiological biological functions. Among these it is involved in a multitude of metabolic reactions, contributing to the normal metabolism of carbohydrates *.
3. B Vitamin Complex: The Multi-Guard® Sugar Control contains the full set of B vitamins, a group of water-soluble vitamins, of paramount importance for the human body, as almost every metabolic reaction of the body requires their presence. Of these, vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B12 and biotin contribute to the normal functioning of metabolic processes that aim to produce energy, while B6 also contributes to the normal metabolism of glycogen*. In the Multi-Guard® Sugar Control, B6 is contained as 5-phosphopyridoxal (P5P), which is the metabolically active form of B6.
4. Magnesium: Adequate dietary intake of magnesium is very important for human metabolism, as magnesium is involved in over 300 metabolic reactions contributing to the normal functioning of metabolic processes that aim to produce energy*. However, modern diets and especially those characterized by increased consumption of processed foods are characterized by inadequate magnesium supply, making magnesium deficiency one of the most widespread dietary deficiencies today. The Multi-Guard® Sugar Control provides a high amount of elemental magnesium in the recommended daily dose of 2 tablets, ensuring the coverage of the body in this valuable, metabolically, metal.
5. Cinnamon: Over the last twenty years, a plethora of scientific data link the active substances of cinnamon to glucose metabolism. In the Multi-Guard® Sugar Control a very high amount of titled extract of cinnamon bark Cassia (Cinnamomum cassia) is provided as most of the published studies have been conducted with this. The use of cinnamon bark for the preparation of the extract was because it contains the metabolically active substances. The extract does not contain coumarin and therefore is suitable for long-term use and does not entail the risk of interaction with coumarin anticoagulants.
The Multi-Guard® Sugar Control as all formulations of Lamberts®, is manufactured in the United Kingdom in accordance with the strict standards of the Pharmaceutical GMP (Pharmaceutical GMP).
