Prebiotics – dietary fibers inulin: Essential for the growth of friendly intestinal bacteria and therefore for the maintenance of the intestinal flora which is a vital factor for the healthy state of the digestive system and the enhancement of the body's defense capacity. In addition to their contribution to the gastrointestinal function, prebiotics enhance the absorption of nutrients. The lutein is a carotenoid substance, a unique component of the macular pigment of the eye. A valuable antioxidant for eye health, it absorbs solar radiation (blue visible light), acting as a filter. Clinical studies show that adequate lutein intake contributes to reduced risk of macular degeneration (AMD-Age related Macular Degeneration) & cataract appearance.
The lycopene is an important antioxidant component for the counteraction of the effects of oxygen free radicals generated by external factors but also during cell metabolism. It is believed to have additional properties, such as its beneficial effect on the skin and reduction of cholesterol, because it inhibits the action of the enzyme that catalyzes its production.
