Hialurom Tendon belongs to the category of medical technology products and is indicated for the treatment of pain and limited mobility in tendon disorders. Mannitol is also widely used in medical practice for a variety of indications, mainly due to its osmotic properties. It also acts as a free radical scavenger and reduces the harmful effects of free radicals during ischemia.
In humans, externally administered hyaluronic acid is rapidly degraded by oxygen radicals, thus limiting its duration of stay. In vitro studies show that the mixture of high concentrations of mannitol with hyaluronic acid protects against the degradation caused by oxygen radicals and can thus increase its duration without modifying its rheological properties.

Care should be taken to avoid peripheral nerve injury and injection into blood vessels. Several tendons can be treated simultaneously.
