Hialurom Tendon belongs to the category of medical technology products and is indicated for the treatment of pain and limited mobility in tendon disorders. It is an injectable solution in a pre-filled syringe containing a unique combination of sodium hyaluronate and mannitol for peri-tendon or intrabursal injection.

Sodium hyaluronate is the salt of hyaluronic acid, which has high viscoelasticity and is a structural component of many tissues and organs. An average human has approximately 15g of hyaluronic acid in various forms in their body.

In medicine, its application is widespread in the form of gel in ophthalmology and plastic surgery, but also in orthopedics, in injectable form.

Its action is not directly anti-inflammatory or analgesic, but it acts slowly and its effect appears gradually, after 3 to 6 weeks. Its action lasts for several months.

Mannitol is a natural substance found in seaweed, mushrooms, and tree saps. It is a polyol that is widely used in the food and pharmaceutical industries due to its unique properties.

Mannitol is also widely used in medical practice for a variety of indications, mainly due to its osmotic properties. It also acts as a free radical scavenger and reduces the harmful effects of free radicals during ischemia.

In humans, externally administered hyaluronic acid is rapidly degraded by oxygen radicals, thus limiting its duration of stay. In vitro studies show that the mixture of high concentrations of mannitol with hyaluronic acid protects against the degradation caused by oxygen radicals and can thus increase its duration without modifying its rheological properties.

Hialurom Tendon reduces the surface friction of tendons whose ability to slide freely is restricted due to microtears and adhesions. The administration of hyaluronic acid leads to the formation of complexes on the tendon surface, improving the sliding ability.

The complexes of hyaluronic acid act as a 'cellular sieve' that prevents the free passage of inflammatory cells, prostaglandins, and cytokines.

Furthermore, hyaluronic acid provides a more ideal environment for cellular proliferation. The improved environmental conditions increase cellular activity. Cells increase the production of extracellular matrix, which improves the restoration process.

Due to its lubricating and viscoelastic properties, Hialurom Tendon promotes tendon gliding and the normal restoration process. The administered solution has unique properties:

Enhances tendon gliding and reduces adhesion formation.
Facilitates recovery.
Ensures significant pain reduction and significant improvement of accompanying symptoms.
Offers high satisfaction rates and better recovery to pain-free athletic activities.
Hialurom Tendon should only be administered by specialized doctors trained in the technique of peri-tendon or intrabursal injections.

The product is injected around the affected tendon or within the affected bursae (if possible with imaging control) once a week, with a total treatment duration of 2 injections. Care should be taken to avoid peripheral nerve injury and injection into blood vessels. Several tendons can be treated simultaneously.
