Quercetin is a powerful antioxidant and one of the best antihistamines.
It is believed to have anticancer properties, due to its ability to inhibit the formation of leukotrienes, as well as its antioxidant and antibacterial action.
Studies with experimental animals exposed to substances that cause cataracts showed that quercetin has strong protective properties against cataracts.
Probably the same applies to humans.
Quercetin is anti-inflammatory and combats allergic rhinitis and other allergic conditions when taken with bromelain.
It also has a beneficial effect on the cardiovascular system, preventing the formation of clots, the oxidation of LDL (bad cholesterol) and atherosclerosis.
