iovir® for the nose is a Class IIa sterile, European certified medical device for nasal decongestion. It contains the natural substances Carragelose® (iota carragenan) and kappa-carragenan, which are derived from marine red algae.
It creates a protective barrier in the nasal cavity, thereby protecting against common cold viruses and trapping the viruses of the upper respiratory tract with broad-spectrum action, preventing their attachment to the mucosa and thus their multiplication and spread.
Additionally, it forms a moisturizing protective membrane.
