Description NovoFine 31G insulin needles from Novo Nordisk combine the latest clinical findings with cutting-edge technology for the manufacture of needles that cause significantly less pain and require less pressure for injection. The short 6mm needles contribute to the more predictable absorption of insulin, significantly reducing the risk of intramuscular injection. The new technologies have made it possible to produce needles with a thinner diameter than ever before.
NovoFine 31G have proven to be much less painful than the older 27 and 28G, even than the 30G leading to greater satisfaction for the diabetic individual.
The NovoFine 6mm needles are cut at an acute angle and electropolished for a smoother surface. A special silicone coating eliminates friction, which is mainly responsible for the pain in the injection. They also have thinner walls and a wider lumen that ensures less resistance to the flow of insulin. This means that less pressure is needed to achieve a faster flow of insulin during the injection. Finally, they have a reinforced outer cover that makes it impossible to puncture. A protective ring on the inner cover protects against accidental needle pricks.
