Enteric-Coated-Omega-3

Enteric-coated Omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids

Omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids belong to the “good” fats and are divided into 2 categories:

A) Alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), which we find in plant foods, such as flaxseed and broccoli &
B) Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), which are contained in fish (fish oils) and other marine organisms.

The difference between them is that our body acquires EPA and DHA ready from the foods that contain them, while alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) is converted into EPA and DHA within our body.
They have properties that are proven to be beneficial for our organism. Omega-3 fatty acids, specifically EPA and DHA, have been linked to cardiovascular health. Clinical studies have shown that the intake of EPA and DHA may reduce the risk of heart events.

They also regulate triglycerides, cholesterol, and blood pressure. Furthermore, omega-3 fatty acids are a key structural component of nerve cells and are essential for the proper development and health of children and adolescents, especially those facing learning difficulties or showing inattentiveness and hyperactivity. Their daily intake enhances brain function by improving memory and energy. Finally, according to research, omega-3s from fish oil appear to delay the decline in cognitive function seen in the elderly.

The Olympian Labs Omega-3 Fish Oils do not upset the stomach or smell because they are enteric-coated.

Dosage: Two softgels one to two times daily with meals.
