The Otrisalin ampules are recommended for:
- The gentle cleaning of the nasal cavities when the nose is blocked, for example during a cold or in allergic conditions, flushing out excess mucus or allergen particles such as dust or pollen
- The hydration of the nasal mucosa when it is dry or irritated, in cases of minor nasal irritations or due to low humidity (for example in heated/air-conditioned rooms, high altitudes, air travel)
- The dilution and liquefaction of nasal secretions to aid in their removal.
- The Otrisalin ampules are particularly suitable for the daily cleaning of infants' noses, who are not yet able to blow their noses:
- Daily cleaning dilutes the nasal mucus and helps to remove excess nasal secretions, which can affect the quality of life of infants (poor sleep, difficulty in feeding). It helps infants to breathe and feel better again.
- In case of excess mucus, it is recommended to use a nasal decongestant Otrisalin immediately after the instillation of the solution. The simultaneous use of the nasal decongestant Otrisalin with the saline solution facilitates the removal of mucus from the nose and thus helps to reduce the risk of further complications, such as otitis, sinusitis or/and cough. It also improves the quality of sleep of infants during a cold episode.
