The dye cream contains neither PPD (p-phenylenediamine) nor resorcinol, which have been replaced by better-tolerated derivatives. The risk of allergies is minimized, but there is always the possibility of an allergic reaction: it is recommended that people prone to allergies perform a skin sensitivity test 48 hours before use.
