The Pregnall bio-plus dietary supplement from Quest is a double package combining the authentic multi-nutritional tablets Pregnall bio-grow and DHA capsules, offering enhanced nutritional support to the expectant mother throughout pregnancy.
The Pregnall bio-grow tablets contain 24 bio-available nutrients, including 400μg folic acid, which is essential for the development of maternal tissues and the smooth growth of the fetus. With daily supplementation of 400μg folic acid for at least one month before and up to three months after conception, its levels in the pregnant woman increase, avoiding the low levels that are a risk factor for neural tube defects in the developing fetus. Folic acid also plays a role in cell division, contributes to normal blood formation and maintains normal homocysteine levels.
Pregnall contains folic acid in the bio-available form L-Methyl folate, which is easily absorbed and immediately used by the body.
The Pregnall bio-grow tablets also contain iron and vitamin B12 that contribute to the formation of red blood cells and hemoglobin, vitamins D and K for the maintenance of good bone and tooth condition, vitamin C and zinc for the normal function of the immune system, choline for the proper metabolism of lipids and chromium for the maintenance of normal blood glucose levels.
The DHA capsules contain high purity fish oil providing 200mg DHA and 40mg EPA. The intake of DHA by the pregnant woman contributes to the normal development of the brain and eyes of the fetus, provided that 200mg of DHA is taken daily in addition to the recommended daily intake of omega-3 fatty acids for adults, which is 250mg of DHA and EPA.
