The lignans are phytoestrogens that according to research can prevent the formation of DHT (dihydrotestosterone), which leads to hair loss (androgenetic alopecia). The amino acids, such as cystine and lysine, help in hair building while proanthocyanidins have antioxidant action and help in good blood circulation and the transport of nutrients through the bloodstream directly to the hair follicles.
