I always thought that manicure could be a much more striking fashion statement. So, in the early 1980s, I created 12 stunning nail colors, gave them clever names and took them to Las Vegas. Two things happened: the dancers went crazy with them and the colors became irresistible in salons.
My formula had impeccable coverage, incredible durability and excellent resistance to chipping and that’s why it won several awards. This is one of the reasons why what started in Las Vegas didn’t stay there. Very soon, salons and spas all over the country were asking for Essie’s nail polishes.
Today, our products are available in more than 250,000 of the best salons and spas, in over 100 countries. (Quite unlike what stayed in Las Vegas, right!) and we have more than 250 colors for nails. So, women can experiment with the possibilities of color and express their mood, style or anything else they want.
