Futuro

H Futuro™ offers a complete range of support products for the knee, ankle, elbow, wrist as well as compression stockings and socks in 42 countries worldwide.

A brief history of Futuro™

In 1917, a young American from Cincinnati named George "Jack" Jung, was injured in his leg.
Desperate to return quickly to the competitive field, he wrapped his leg with adhesive tape and continued to play American football.
This began the story of Futuro™ innovation which Jung expanded with more durable and comfortable materials.

  • In 1919, the Jung Arch Brace was the first brace available to the public.
  • In 1930, an ankle brace was added.
  • During the following decade, Jung developed braces for the elbow, knee and wrist, and named the company Futuro™.
  • In 1949, an elastic sock was added to the range, creating the category of Futuro™ compression stockings.
  • With its extensive product range, in 1955, Futuro™ introduced for the first time stands in a pharmacy.
  • In 2008, Futuro™ was acquired by 3M, a technology company with a diverse range that serves customers and communities with innovative products and services.

Today, with manufacturing facilities still in Cincinnati, Futuro™ offers a full range of support and compression products in 42 countries worldwide. Holding over 70 patents, Futuro™ continues to lead the development of innovative products that provide the comfort, support and proper fit to allow you to live, work and play more.
