Health Aid Bio-Folate 1000μg Dietary Supplement Bioavailable Form of Folic Acid Enhanced Absorption for Proper Blood Formation & Maternal Tissue Development During Pregnancy, Metabolism of Homocysteine & Energy 90tabs

Bio-Folate tablets contain L-methylfolate (5-MTHF), which is a superior alternative to folic acid as it is a stable, safe, and highly biologically active form of folic acid (vitamin B9). Unlike folic acid, L-methylfolate does not require an enzyme for its conversion. Therefore, L-methylfolate is the best choice, especially for those with MTHFR mutation, as they cannot metabolize folic acid.

Folic acid is a member of the B vitamins. It plays an important role in the normal formation of blood and the synthesis of amino acids. It contributes to the reduction of fatigue and tiredness, the metabolism of homocysteine, the immune and psychological function, as well as the normal development of maternal tissues during pregnancy.

Folate deficiency leads to fatigue and exhaustion, anemia (usually in combination with vitamin B12 deficiency), painful mouth sores, poor memory and concentration, poor mood, depression, insomnia, and dark spots on the skin. The increased risk of genetic abnormalities is also associated with folate deficiency (as well as vitamin B12). Therefore, the medical community advises all women planning a pregnancy to take 400 micrograms of supplemental folic acid daily from the start of the attempt to conceive until the 12th week of pregnancy.

Vitamin B9 (Folic acid) also contributes to the maintenance of healthy heart function, normal blood pressure, cholesterol levels, and blood glucose. Scientific research has shown strong evidence that folic acid, when combined with vitamin B12, can effectively keep homocysteine levels in the blood under control. Homocysteine is an amino acid that can contribute to blood clot formation and cause narrowing and hardening of the arteries.
Usage Instructions

To be taken preferably 30 to 60 minutes before bedtime with juice or water rather than milk. Amino acids are better absorbed when taken half an hour before a meal or bedtime.
Dosage
Adults: 1 tablet per day.
