Solgar Folate already contains the active form, which may be of particular interest to individuals with MTHFR gene polymorphism, as endogenous conversion of folic acid to its active form is reduced in these individuals. This form should be chosen in consultation with a doctor, especially if there is a known history of MTHFR.
It suits adults who want to cover their folic acid intake, especially women planning pregnancy or in the early stages of pregnancy, as part of a balanced diet.
