The Intermed Euderma Babyderm Protective Paste is a waterproof protection paste in a 150ml package, for the daily care of the diaper area skin, that is where the diaper rests. Its main ingredient is zinc oxide, and it also contains chamomile and calendula extracts.
The diaper area is the most exposed point of the infant's skin. It stays for hours in a warm and wet environment, comes into contact with urine and feces and is constantly rubbed against the diaper material. The paste is aimed at parents who want to put a protective layer after every diaper change, as part of the routine and not only when the skin has already reddened.
Zinc oxide is a white mineral powder that has been used for decades in infant care. When spread in a thick base, it forms on the skin surface a layer that is not fully absorbed and remains there as a natural barrier.
According to the manufacturer, this barrier reduces moisture loss and at the same time protects against factors that may irritate, such as urine, feces and diaper friction. The thick, waterproof texture is the difference between a paste and a light cream: it does not easily wash off with the first moisture, which is why it is particularly suitable for night time, when the diaper stays on for longer.
For babies in diapers, from the first weeks, as daily protection at every change. For infants who still wear diapers at night. For babies with particularly sensitive skin that reddens easily with moisture. And for travel or hot seasons, when the area stays wet more easily.
After each diaper change, clean and dry the area thoroughly. Apply a small amount to the desired area and gently massage.
