Intermed Professional Eco Ergonomic Medium: handle made of rice husk and solid head
The Intermed Professional Eco Ergonomic Toothbrush Medium is the 'green' version of the Professional Ergonomic series. Its handle is made from rice husk, a byproduct of rice cultivation, and has a natural beige color. The head features 3,270 bristles of medium stiffness. Includes one piece.
Suitable for those who want a toothbrush with medium hardness but with a smaller environmental footprint than a conventional plastic one.
What is rice husk
Rice husk is the hard outer shell of the grain, removed during processing. It is produced in large quantities and often ends up as waste. Using it in everyday items, such as toothbrush handles, reduces the amount of plastic needed for their manufacture.
The change in material does not affect performance: the handle remains ergonomic and flexible, with functional design for a firm grip.
Its features
- Handle: made of rice husk, flexible and ergonomic.
- Stiffness: medium, 3,270 bristles.
- Head: solid, with high fiber density, for easy access to the gums.
- Edges: perfectly rounded, gentle on teeth and gums.
- Color: beige.
Usage
Brush twice a day with fluoride toothpaste. The small head allows comfortable access to the back teeth: open your mouth slightly less when brushing the outer side of them, to make room. Rinse after use and let it dry.
Frequently asked questions
Does the rice husk handle have a smell or taste?
The handle does not come into contact with the mouth during brushing, so the use is the same as with a regular toothbrush.
Is it more fragile than plastic?
It is designed for regular daily use, with the same ergonomic logic as the rest of the range.
What is the difference from the eco soft?
The soft has 4,600 softer bristles. The medium has 3,270 and a tighter feel.
Why does it have a small head?
The solid head moves more easily in the back of the mouth, where larger heads have difficulty.
