The Intermed Professional Ergonomic Toothbrush Extra Soft in white color is the softest option in the Professional Ergonomic series. It has 5,640 very fine fibers, according to the manufacturer, which is more than the soft and medium versions, and has the same flexible ergonomic handle. Includes one piece.
It is for those who find even soft toothbrushes uncomfortable: people with sensitive gums or teeth that "tighten" in the cold, or those who have been advised by their dentist to brush as gently as possible.
In extra soft toothbrushes the head is filled with many more and finer fibers. Each fiber exerts minimal pressure, but because there are many, the surface area of contact remains large. Thus the feeling is like "velvet" on the teeth, while the brush still removes food residues with proper technique.
The fine fibers also adapt to the gum line, where plaque usually accumulates, without needing pressure.
Brush morning and night for two minutes, with gentle circular motions and toothpaste of your choice, e.g. toothpaste for sensitive teeth if recommended by your dentist. After use, rinse the fibers with running water and let the brush stand upright.
Extra soft has more and finer fibers (5,640 vs. 4,600), so it is even gentler in feeling.
Many dentists recommend a very soft brush in such periods, but follow the instructions given by your dentist.
Very soft fibers may open up sooner if you press hard. Check it and replace it when it loses its shape.
It can be used, but for orthodontic appliances, interdental brushes are usually needed.
Use it as often as required, morning and evening, with gentle movements and fluoride toothpaste. Rinse after use and let it dry upright. Replace it every three months or when it loses its shape.
