The Lactase Complex preparation is a dietary supplement containing lactase, which improves the digestion of lactose in individuals with difficulty digesting it. Lactase (lactase) is an essential digestive enzyme for the breakdown of the main carbohydrate in milk, Lactose (lactose).
Lactase is produced by the body in the small intestine. In cases of reduced or zero lactase production by the small intestine, undigested lactose is directed to the large intestine where it ferments. This leads to the production of hydrogen, carbon dioxide, and organic acids resulting in gas production, contraction of the intestinal wall muscles, and diarrhea. The severity of clinical manifestations depends on the degree of enzyme deficiency.
