amberts® is a specially designed B vitamin complex, which provides in extremely high quantities the B vitamins B1 (thiamine), B6 (pyridoxine) and B12 (methylcobalamin).
The selection of these specific B vitamins as well as the selection of the corresponding concentrations was made based on bibliographic references regarding the role they play in the normal function of the nervous system*.
Specifically each Neuro-Guard tablet provides:
- 100mg Thiamine: One of the most important biological roles of thiamine is its contribution to the normal function of metabolic processes that aim to produce energy*. Thiamine participates in metabolic reactions, as thiamine pyrophosphate, which is the biologically active form of thiamine. Thiamine pyrophosphate acts as a cofactor of four enzymes that play a key role in the metabolism of carbohydrates and branched-chain amino acids. Beyond its metabolic role, thiamine contributes to the normal function of the nervous system*, as it participates in the synthesis of acetylcholine.
- 12mg Pyridoxine: Vitamin B6 participates in more metabolic reactions than any other vitamin in the B complex, participating in over 4% of the total enzymatic reactions of the body. The integrity of metabolic processes is a prerequisite for the normal function of the body's systems, particularly those with high energy requirements, such as the nervous system. Therefore, pyridoxine contributes to the normal function of the nervous system*. It is worth noting that the concentration of 12mg of pyridoxine is lower than the daily tolerable intake and therefore Neuro-Guard can be safely administered for long periods of time.
- 1000μg Vitamin B12 (as methylcobalamin): Vitamin B12 holds a prominent position among vitamins, as it plays a central role in fundamental organic functions. Among these, it is involved in the synthesis of DNA and myelin, playing a role in the process of cell division and thus contributing to the normal function of the nervous system*. Neuro-Guard from Lamberts® provides per tablet the impressive concentration of 1000μg B12, a concentration used in the treatment of vitamin deficiency. The B12 contained in Neuro-Guard is in the form of methylcobalamin, as this is the metabolically active form of vitamin B12 and the form with the highest absorption and bioavailability.
