Each chewable, hypoallergenic tablet contains 500 mg of vitamin C from concentrated acerola extract, 100 mg of lemon bioflavonoids, 25 mg of concentrated black currant, 25 mg of green pepper extract, 5 mg of rutin.
Naturally sweetened with fructose.
The acerola fruit (Malpighia gl
abra) is one of the richest natural sources of vitamin C. The natives of South America traditionally used acerola to treat colds. The rose hip fruit is another rich source of vitamin C.
It also contains carotenoids (beta-carotene, lycopene, zeaxanthin, lutein, etc.), bioflavonoids, polyphenols, pectins. The fruit of the species Rosa mosqueta, R. canina, R. rugoza is mainly used.
Note: Chewable tablets are a pleasant way to get both vitamin C and other nutrients. However, they contain sweeteners, which, when broken down by mouth bacteria, produce acids that can erode tooth enamel. Moreover, let's not forget that vitamin C is, chemically speaking, an acid (ascorbic acid), which can also attack enamel.
Therefore, it is recommended to rinse your mouth with a little water after chewing the tablets, in order to remove vitamin C and sweeteners from it.
Usual Use: One chewable tablet per day.
