The PreNAN Human Milk Fortifier is specially designed to improve the nutritional composition of breast milk according to the guidelines of the European Society for Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (ESPGHAN) for the feeding of premature/low birth weight infants. The PreNAN Human Milk Fortifier has been clinically tested in premature/low birth weight infants.
Reminder: During feeding, always hold the baby in your arms. Leaving the baby unattended can cause choking.
WARNING: Always wash your hands and sterilize feeding utensils before preparing the baby's meal. Prepare only one meal at a time. Feed immediately and follow instructions carefully. Improper dissolution can lead to illness in the baby. Discard any excess fortified breast milk after each feeding. For use only under medical supervision.
Contraindications: The PreNAN Human Milk Fortifier is not a complete food. It is not suitable for use in infants with diagnosed cow's milk allergy, lactose intolerance, and congenital metabolic disorders such as galactosemia/glucose-galactose malabsorption. Not intended for parenteral use.
Each utensil used (bottle, syringe or feeding tube container) must be prepared separately before each feeding.
If using frozen breast milk, thaw it gradually in the refrigerator (below 4oC). DO NOT USE microwave oven and do not let it defrost at room temperature.
Stir or shake the breast milk before transferring it to the feeding utensil.
Transfer to the feeding utensil only the necessary amount of breast milk that you have drawn and to which you will add the PreNAN HMF.
Before mixing with the fortifier, heat the breast milk until it reaches body temperature. DO NOT USE microwave oven.
Separate the sachets and take one 1g sachet. Add the required amount of PreNAN HMF to the desired amount of warm breast milk (35oC-40oC), using the standard preparation (1g per 25 ml of breast milk) or the personalized specific amount if another reconstitution has been recommended.
Close the stopper and stir gently until the powder is completely dissolved and FEED IMMEDIATELY.
Discard any excess fortified breast milk after each feeding.
Opened sachets should be used immediately or discarded.
For tube feeding: once the fortified breast milk is prepared, it must be used within 4 hours
