Chlorella is a green unicellular microalgae containing the highest concentrations of chlorophyll (60 mg/serving). Chlorella provides the body with high levels of beta-carotene, vitamin B-12, iron, RNA and DNA, as well as proteins.
The name Chlorella comes from the Greek word ‘chloros’ meaning ‘green’ and the Latin diminutive ‘-ella’ meaning ‘small’, referring to its very high chlorophyll content, which gives it its characteristic deep, emerald green color. Chlorella is also rich in amino acids, nucleic acids, dietary fibers, proteins, vitamins, minerals, ‘CGF’ (Chlorella Growth Factor) and other beneficial substances.
Chlorella strengthens the immune system by promoting the production of more interferon in the body. Additionally, it increases the proportion of beneficial flora in the gastrointestinal tract, thereby enhancing the treatment of ulcers, colitis, Crohn’s disease, and intestinal diverticulosis.
Chlorella, in addition to its strengthening effect during the digestion process, simultaneously reduces the levels of LDL ‘bad’ cholesterol in the blood. It gently detoxifies the body, thereby enhancing its ability to inhibit carcinogenesis. Chlorella is also rich in magnesium, which contributes to the good mental health of the individual. Furthermore, it relieves symptoms of PMS (premenstrual syndrome) and reduces asthma attacks.
