In the market you will find two types of Swedish bitters, the short and the long-term type. The commonly known type is the short one, which was not formulated by Paracelsus but by modern botanists. It is a short version of the “long-term type”, commercial, with many variations and we ignore if it really benefits. The type of the elixir Original Schweden Bitter is the original and full type, both in terms of ingredients and preparation.
It is the only bitter that has been submitted, accepted and recognized in the Austrian State Chemistry with the term “ORIGINAL”. With the 3001371/150 of 27/01/2006 certificate of the Hellenic HMC it circulates legally in our country as well. The Original Schweden Bitter is manufactured in the Austrian Riviera, by the eponymous company «Riviera».
The company founded by Robert Schrenk in 1923 and remains family-owned to this day, with the 3rd generation taking over the reins. The «Riviera» produces superior natural cosmetics and pharmaceutical products, under the international distinguished label «HOLZHACKER».
The Original Schweden Bitter contains herbs that are not cultivated, are hand-picked by collectors and are included in the preparation in a percentage according to the recipe and not according to their value. Specifically it contains: wild thyme, gentian root, angelica root, licorice, myrrh, manna, potentilla, dandelion root, gentian root, valerian root, nutmeg leaves, cinnamon, marrubium, musk, natural camphor, wine spirit, water and natural color (plain caramel). It is 38 V% degrees in terms of alcohol, in a pharmaceutical glass bottle to protect the precious content, carries an expiration date and batch number. Clearly it does not contain any chemicals and is 100% natural product.
