The Hylopan Max eye drops are a CE-marked medical device in a multi-dose vial of 10ml. Each ml contains hyaluronic acid 0.15% and dexpanthenol 2%. They form on the cornea a viscous, clear protective film that retains moisture and lubricates the eye surface, without impairing vision.

At a concentration of 0.15%, the solution acquires a viscous, elastic behavior. It spreads easily when the eyelid moves and remains stable when the eye is open, which is exactly the behavior we want from a tear film.
Dexpanthenol is the precursor of vitamin B5. At a concentration of 2%, it does two things: it retains a significant amount of water itself, and it helps hyaluronic acid retain moisture for longer. The combination of the two works simultaneously to stabilize the tear film and nourish and soothe the eye surface.
This is the feature that distinguishes Hylopan Max from classic single-dose vials. Usually, to keep a multi-dose vial sterile after opening, a preservative is needed. But preservatives are precisely what many users cannot tolerate with long-term use.
Here the solution is mechanical rather than chemical: the dropper has a special sterile filter system, so the content remains protected without the addition of a preservative. This practically means good tolerance for long-term use and, at the same time, fewer residues and lower cost per dose compared to single-use ampoules.
It is also suitable for contact lens wearers, hard and soft. Lenses do not need to be removed before instillation.

Recommended dosage: Instill one drop in the pocket between the eye and the lower eyelid, 3 to 5 times a day.
Before first use, remove the safety ring and the cap. Tilt your head slightly backwards, look up, gently pull down the lower eyelid and instill the drop into the fornix. Close your eyelids gently to spread the liquid evenly.
Precautions. Do not use the product if the packaging has been damaged. Avoid contact of the dropper nozzle with the eye or hands. If you are using other eye drops, allow at least 15 minutes between the two. You may experience transient vision blur immediately after instillation. It should not be used in case of hypersensitivity to any of the components. If irritation worsens, consult an ophthalmologist.
Storage. Store at a temperature of 2°C to 25°C. Do not freeze. After first opening, use within 12 months.
