To SALZ 5% is a sterile, hypertonic, preservative-free, saline solution in single-use containers.
SALZ 5% removes via its natural osmotic properties the corneal edema and excess fluid and thus improves the visual field.
SALZ 5% finds uses, for example, after eye surgeries (e.g. cataract surgery) and helps in addressing corneal edema caused by eye diagnostic tests (e.g. gonioscopy) by balancing the osmotic values of corneal edema.
Instructions for Use
Remove a single-use container. Make sure that each single-use container is not damaged.
To open it, twist the end of the single-use container to cut it. Do not pull it.
Use 3-5 times daily a drop in the conjunctival sac of the affected eye.
Avoid any contact of the opening with the eye and with hands. After instillation, close the eye slowly.
For the duration of treatment as well as for the dosing schedule, consult your ophthalmologist.
Do not use damaged single-use containers.
The eye should not come into contact with the single-use container.
Only to be used once.
Because SALZ 5% does not contain any chemical preservative the remaining container should not be used.
Do not use the eye drops after the expiration date, which is stated on each single-use container. Store between 15 and 25 C.
