The MACHA tea, also known as the magic of Japan, is the most popular green tea in the world.

Matcha means tea powder. It contains 135 times more antioxidants than a simple green tea and this happens because we consume the whole leaf of the tea and not just the infusion. Unlike green tea, the leaves of the plant in matcha tea are shaded before harvesting, and this change in sunlight increases the chlorophyll levels which are rich in nutrients. Once harvested, the leaves are steamed to stop fermentation which would reduce these elements. After drying, they are ground with stones to give us a strongly green powder. Matcha tea has a strong taste, it tastes like grass or spinach and has the property to relax and soothe. A cup of Matcha tea has the nutritional value of 10 regular green teas, it is rich in antioxidants, boosts metabolism and calorie burning, effective and natural detoxification, soothes the mind and relaxes the body, rich in fiber, chlorophyll, improves mood and helps concentration, provides vitamin C, selenium, chromium, and magnesium.

Usage: To make matcha tea, use hot water just before boiling point. It is best to consume it at least 6 hours before bedtime. It is ideal in juices, in vegetable salads, fruit salads or in yogurt with other fruits.

Dosage: For a Matcha drink (1 cup) we usually add 1/2 to 1 teaspoon.
