The Solgar Beta Carotene is a dietary supplement with natural beta carotene from ocean algae (Dunaliella salina), along with other natural carotenoids such as lutein and zeaxanthin, in soft capsules.

The role of beta carotene

Beta carotene is converted in the body to vitamin A, which contributes to the maintenance of normal vision, the normal function of the immune system, and the maintenance of normal skin. These are approved health claims based on Regulation (EC) 1924/2006.

Lutein and zeaxanthin do not currently have an approved health claim by EFSA.
